What is Anxiety?

Stress or Anxiety is a confusing and a disquieting state of mind. It attacks you without being noticed. It hurts you without producing any nasty sounds.

In simple terms, Anxiety can be defined as a stifling state of mind that emanates from fear, apprehension, doubts, pressure, worry etc. Anxiety is not a disease in itself. It’s an exasperating condition that leads to several diseases.

What are Anxiety Disorders?

Human minds are endowed with a variety of feelings like joy, sorrow, anger, fear, excitement, boredom etc. Anxiety is one of such feelings. It is normal to feel the anxiety when there is some apprehension, fear, pressure, or uncertainty about something. But, this feeling of anxiety fades away with the situation that sparked it off.

However, when this feeling of stress anxiety does not dwindle even when the situation that triggered the anxiety ceases to exist – the normal anxiety turns into prolonged anxiety. This prolonged anxiety gives birth to maladies like Depression, Muscle Tension, High Blood Pressure, Indigestion, Insomnia, Headache, Migraine, Menstrual Disorders, Nausea, Fear, Panic, Anger, Weight Loss, Heart Attack, Nervous Breakdown, Heart Diseases, and even death. All such maladies that stem from anxiety are termed as Anxiety Disorders.

How do Anxiety Disorders crop-up?

Something Somewhere is Wrong. This is the kind of feeling that irks your mind when you suffer from anxiety. When such an irksome feeling lingers on, the mind and body get screwed-up. This leads to various noxious mental and physical disorders called Anxiety Disorders.

There can be hordes of reasons that lead to stress, anxiety disorders. Anxiety disorders emanate from various factors like warped emotions, tension, stress, physical debility, loss of a near and dear one, disease, fear, apprehension, worry, ill-health, frustration, and dissatisfaction.
