Do you have a personal trainer?

“So you knew how important a personal trainer is but intentionally refused to tell me? I thought you were my friend but how could you really fail to tell me I need a personal trainer?” Fumed a disappointed young lady. She was blaming a friend for not telling her about the need for a personal trainer.

Without risking disappointing anyone, I will explain why you need to find a personal trainer. You really need one and for the best reasons. So let us venture into the basics…

Why you need a personal trainer

Whether you want to train for the sake of physical fitness or in the interest of bodybuilding, you need to find a personal trainer. This is largely because a personal trainer will help you to keep on track and schedule for the training. It is absolutely admissible that maintaining a training schedule can be one of the most complicated things to adhere to. Not that training is hard but because there many other chores in life that may make the training schedule hard to observe. It is worth pointing out that a personal trainer will make it his or her personal obligation to remind you of the training time. The other thing is that you will be motivated to train especially if you pay the trainer since you can only get value for money if you trained. It is only humanly natural that you will want to train if you have a paid trainer just like you would be motivated to use a utility if payment of the bill does not depend on how much of it you have used but on how long you have subscribed for it. And that should be logical; so do you have a personal trainer?

Apart from that, a personal trainer will help you do the right thing at the right time. He or she will most likely be a professional or at least one who has gone through the same kind of training before. Therefore, chances are high that a personal trainer will know what exercises, attire and meals are fit for you. That should come as good news because it ensures that you are doing the right thing at the right time and, therefore guarantees that your training will achieve its intentions.

Having understood the need to find a personal trainer, we shall then move on to the next step which is how one gets the best personal trainer. Yes, only the best is worth the hype and good enough each one of us can get the best. So how do you get one?

Getting the best personal trainer

“I don’t always want to settle for less. I am not a second string fellow. Only the best is fit for me and for a personal trainer, I need only one who has made it to the list of the ‘who is who’ in training.” These were the words of a friend who for some unknown reasons some people branded arrogant. The truth of the matter is that this friend was not arrogant – all he said was the truth, only that the truth may sound bitter for some people.

There is no cause for argument. One needs the best personal trainer. Maybe not a ‘who is who’ but one who perfectly knows what he or she is doing. The best personal trainer is one who understands his/her client with all their abilities and likes/dislikes. Such a trainer should also be conversant with the lessons they train. You don’t need the king of hell to take you to mars!

But where and how do you get one? The first step is to know what you like. If you do not know why you need a personal trainer, then you will not find the best. After knowing what you want, then look for someone who can foster your ambitions. You may need to ask colleagues or visit several training grounds to see which trainer does the right job. If you have a friend who has a personal trainer, such a trainer may help you get a good trainer. Remember the old adage that you send a thief to catch a thief?

Then go, find the best personal trainer. Good luck!
